R.I.P. DANIEL MACMASTER
Daniel and I started working together in early 2005. We found a writing chemistry and friendship like no other…in the world we loved called music. Now at this moment, it’s hard to believe he is gone. We spoke weekly, holidays, birthday’s….always, and I will miss the short time we had together. The writing, the jokes, and the stories. In my eyes he was an extremely talented musician. He taught me so much that I was lacking as a songwriter, and now there will be a void. Knowing now that our plans for releasing music performing together this year will never come to pass, saddens me beyond belief. He and I had our heart set on getting MONKEY-MACMASTER and his solo effort “out to the masses”, as he put it.
My heart and prayers go out for his family through this difficult time.

Daniel Macmaster Emerald Monkey
Monkey-Macmaster is made up of Jimmy D of the band EMERALD MONKEY, and Daniel Macmaster formerly of the band BONHAM. Daniel moved from being the vocalist in Scorcher to the front man of the group Bonham in the late 80's. It was quite a jump from the Canadian band Scorcher to fronting Bonham, the creation of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham's son Jason. Daniel went on to write and sing on the gold record "The Disregard Of Timekeeping" and the follow up "Madhatter". With 25 years as a musician...Jimmy D has fronted many local acts, written countless songs, and has ideas forever that are always "out of the box". Please review the tunez on the official Monkey-Macmaster Myspace, but they are still in "demo" form. Rate em', and let us hear your thoughts. There is a total of 17 tunez written, and they will rotate in the jukebox often. So keep checking back!
